About you: I have 2 sisters who I love to spend time with and tormenting the youngest. I love to do karaoke even though I can’t carry a tune in a bucket, I go to the cinema for the popcorn and like to be classy sometimes and go the theatre. I love random nights in the pub, just sat chatting or playing daft games where you end up laughing til your face hurts.

About you: I am 21 years old and live in Sheffield with family. I am registered blind and have a syndrome called Bardet biedl syndrome BBS which affects eyesight and overweightness. I am studying accounting and finance at Sheffield Hallam university just finished my second year and now moving onto a placement year here at Nicholson & Co Accountancy. Being blind I never had the confidence to approach getting into work or never thought it would be possible but with all the help and support given from working at Nicholson & Co they have shown me that they are multiple ways of still being able to work in accounting for me and that I know that anything is possible if you never give up and keep going. I have had a very warm and supported welcome at Nicholson & Co since starting in November 2023.
Biggest career highlight: being employed at Nicholson & Co and being featured in the Financial Times article.
Best part(s) about your job: being able to learn a lot about the world of working in the accountancy sector with experience and working alongside a well organised and supported team. Also being able to learn all the accountancy software like quickbooks.
